![]() I can empathize with you and the frustrations of seeing death and unhappiness in your vault but if this was not a factor, what would be the point of the game? I currently keep 3 fully loaded max stat etc, radio rooms which always keeps my vault happiness to a 99% unless multiple rush room failures happen but within minutes I'm back to 99% happiness. But if you can't keep the game open almost all the times anymore, they are a lot less usefull than they could have been before. Now I know some of you actually paid for them, I would too. Meaning that the player won't pay for Mister Handys, as it is useless if the player doesn't keep the game open, and also made useless by the fact that the ressources obtained by the Handy Man will actually be stollen/eaten by the Deathclaws. Now a player will open, collect, and then quit the game quickly, as the fear of staying online and being attack by the Deathclaws will forbid anyone to keep the game open more than necessary on their device, especially if they can't heal the dweller in case of attack. The player could, basically, play for hours and keep doing other things at the same time. handy there, since he could actually allow the player to continue to do so even more, since the player who would use it could just "heal" and "play" the game without having to collect. Meaning that the player could just leave the game for a few minutes on without having to be scared of an attack. ![]() ? Before, a player may put 2 gardians at the entrance of his Vault, and if they had great weapons (having both 20 or more damage power), the thiefs would never go into another room. ![]() But it suffer from another new feature, the Deathclaws. ![]() System Shock 2, has modern controls, and has mods to make it look better than it did when it first came out, so there was no problems ever replaying it. Plus no support for higher resolution doesn’t make things any better. ![]() Playing it nowadays, however, is hard even with DOSBox I have gotten so used to mouselook controls, or simply, modern PC first person controls. ![]() System Shock was one of those DOS games that stay with you… and with it’s sibling, System Shock 2, it gave me, a computer geek who likes tinkering with programming languages, who is in love with the thought of the future and the technology it promises, together, those two games threw in a cyberpunk universe, filled with all the tech I want, the feeling of being a cool cyberpunk hacker that can also wield a gun or two, puzzles that only computer geeks will really appreciate (anyone can solve them, they aren’t too hard, but a computer geek will see the tiny details that make them smile), and a lot more.īoth games stuck with me, but if we are talking about DOS games that I will forever love, it is System Shock. And when it finally hit Steam a few days ago, I didn’t hesitate to purchase it right then and there, plus with a 20% off at that time, I was all the more willing to buy it. When System Shock Enhanced Edition was first announced for GoG, I was happy yet saddened because it wasn’t immediately released for Steam, my preferred platform, I had to wait a month for it to be available in Steam. ![]() ![]() Darcy doesn't know what to do with her life at this point. The first book in the series centers on the life of Bluford High sophomore Darcy Wills. Blackwell (book 8), Ben Alirez (book 9), and John Langan (book 13). The books are written by multiple authors, including Anne Schraff (books 1-4, 7), Paul Langan (books 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12), D.M. To account for the varied preferences of young readers, the Bluford Series includes elements of many popular genres for this age group, including mystery, romance, Comedy, Drama, action, and a touch of the supernatural. Taking into account recent research on gender and reading, an effort was made to ensure that students of both sexes would find the Bluford books appealing. By having immediate relevance to students' lives, the books are more likely to keep students' interest-and teach them the value and pleasure of reading. Topics, themes, and situations in the Bluford Series were chosen to engage students' real-life experiences. Each novel contains less than 200 pages, encouraging even reluctant readers to read from cover to cover. These books are especially effective with Middle School students. While content in the series is sophisticated enough for high school students and beyond, the reading level for the novels is between 5th and 6th grade.
